Metropolitan Opera at the Movies

The Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD returns to theatres nationwide for its sixth season this fall beginning on October 15th with a new production of Donizetti's Anna Bolena conducted by Maestro Marco Armiliato.

Anna Netrebko opens the Met HD season with her portrayal of the ill-fated queen driven insane by her unfaithful king. She sings one of opera's greatest mad scenes in this Met premiere production by David McVicar. Ekaterina Gubanova is her rival, Jane Seymour, Ildar Abdrazakov sings Henry VIII.
