Kleine Harlekinade will be performed as a curtain raiser to Peter Shaffer's Amadeus on Fridays at 7:30 (September 10, 17, 24 and October 1), Tuesday September 14th at 5:30 PM and remaining Tuesdays (September 21 and 28) at 7:00 PM at the Mainstage at Geva Theatre Center in Rochester, New York. Geva’s Prologue talk begins at 6:30 PM. Amadeus begins at 7:30 PM.
This 3-person, 12-minute comedy demonstrates the talent and skill of Salieri, the main character and narrator of Geva’s show about Mozart, Amadeus. Mr. Salieri did not give himself enough credit, for he was indeed one of the best composers of the day.
The opera is a farce about a woman in love with two men and unable to decide which to chose, she proposes the solution in a game of chance. Of course, she ends up with neither of them. The cast includes Trevor Strader as Harlekin and Jordan Wilson as Brighella, Danielle Falco Frink as Kolombine and Lyndon Meyer, piano.
The performance of Kleine Harlekinade is included with your ticket price for Amadeus.
