During the depths of winter, opera lovers assemble to watch a DVD of an opera presented during the current MET season. We meet at 1 PM on Sundays at Temple B’rith Kodesh located at Temple 2131 Elmwood Avenue in Rochester, NY 14618. Click here for a map.

A suggested donation for all four operas is $28.00 for Mercury Opera Rochester donors and $32.00 for non donors. Temple members may attend for free.

Wagner’s first part of the Ring Cycle. This is the MET’s famous Otto Schenk production from 1991. Siegfried Jerusalem, Christa Ludwig and James Morris star in the god’s doomed journey.

Verdi’s acclaimed opera about the assassination of Gustavo III of Sweden. The famous 1992 MET production stars Luciano Pavarotti, Leo Nucci and Aprile Millo.
