Melanie Blood, director Melanie Blood is Professor of Theatre at SUNY Geneseo. She received her MA and PhD from Northwestern University, where she enjoyed directing opera literature for the School of Music. She has been in the Rochester area since 1995 and has directed and choreographed works as diverse at Urinetown, Gershwin's Of Thee I Sing, and Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat. She is pleased to be working with Mercury Opera for the first time and thanks her talented colleague, Gerry Floriano, for providing the opportunity. She would also like to thank her husband, Jon Kruger, and two children for their support and patience. |
