Andrew Gilchrist, baritone

Andrew Gilchrist is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in vocal performance at the Eastman School of Music.

He completed his Masters of Music at the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he was a member of the Knoxville Opera studio and performed Count Ceprano in Knoxville Operas performance of Rigoletto. With the University of Tennessee Opera Theatre his roles included Leporello (Don Giovanni), Reverend Hale (The Crucible), Simone (Gianni Schicchi), and George Jones (Street Scene).

He is a graduate of Brigham Young University Idaho where he appeared on stage in, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Ephigenie en Tauride, and Fiddler on the Roof. He participated in the Oberlin in Italy program and received the Encouragement Award at the Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana district Metropolitan Opera auditions.

He has a beautiful wife and son who both love to sing.
